[Feb/03/2010] Clays Mill Red and White Ball
A Red and White Ball will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010, for a fee of $5.00 per person. All Clays Mill students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served and a disc jockey will provide music. A photographer will take professional photos on a prepaid basis. This is a dress-up affair. February is Library Lovers' Month. It is a time to recognize the value of school, public, and private libraries. Mrs. Dobson and Mrs. Reeves will host special activities in recognition of this very special month.

Clays Mill paraprofessional Shelly Beadles will take a "polar plunge" at the end of January to raise funds for the Special Olympics. Students and staff members can show their support through monetary donations.

Smokey the Bear will visit Clays Mill Elementary on January 12, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. He will talk to the children about the importance of fire prevention.

Clays Mill students, faculty, and staff will wear black and orange or other Fall colors to show their school spirit on Friday, November 20, 2009.
[Nov/06/2009] National Young Readers Day
November 11th has been set aside as a special day to recognize the joys and benefits of reading. Classroom teachers at Clays Mill Elementary have invited 'celebrities' to read their favorite childhood books with students on this date, in support of 'National Young Readers Week,' an annual event which was co-founded by Pizza Hut and the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
