Halifax County Sports Hall of Fame annual Banquet
Halifax County Sports Hall of Fame will hold their annual Banquet on April 14th at 6:30PM in the middle school Cafeteria.
21st Century After School Program SUCCESS
Halifax County Middle School's After School SUCCESS (Students Using Curriculum Community-Enrichment Strategies Successfully) Program meets each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15-5:00PM. Through our 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC program, HCMS is able to provide an environment where extended academic learning is the norm. There are opportunities and activities for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 to meet state and local standards in core academic subjects such as English/reading and math. Students either ride the activity bus or are picked up by their parents at 5:00PM.
Halifax County Middle School's Art Show
Halifax County Middle School's "Spring into Art" Show will be held April 26, 2012 from 6:00-8:00Pm. A variety of student produced art media will be on display in the Cafeteria, Gym, and the main hallway. Prizes will be awarded in all three grade levels. Light refreshments will be served in the Cafeteria. The public is invited. Admission is free; however, donations towards prizes are welcome.
HCHS Comet Softball Spring Warm-up Clinic
The HCHS Comet Softball Spring Warm-up Clinic will be a one-day, two-session clinic on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 9:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. at HCHS. There will be a three-hour morning session from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and a two-hour clinic afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The clinic is for ages 6 and up.
