Top Candy Sellers at SES

Scottsburg Elementary School sold candy bars for their spring fund raiser. The top candy sellers at Scottsburg Elementary School received $100 for 1st place, $75 for 2nd place, $50 for 3rd place and $10 for 4th through 10th place.

 


SES Student of the Month for Febuary

Every month the teachers at Scottsburg Elementary School choose a student of the month in every classroom. The students are chosen by showing the following characteristics.

  • Has a positive attitude toward school.
  • Shows improvement in academics and conduct.
  • Can be motivated to do his/her best.

They are given a certificate and it is placed in the hallways for all to see.

HCHS Comet Softball Spring Warm-up Clinic

The HCHS Comet Softball Spring Warm-up Clinic will be a one-day, two-session clinic on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 9:00 a.m.to  3:00 p.m. at HCHS.  There will be a three-hour morning session from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and a two-hour clinic afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The clinic is for ages 6 and up.  Please click here to register.

 


Second Graders at Scottsburg Elementary had Egypt Day

Second grade at Scottsburg Elementary participated in Egypt Day. Students wore white, made Egyptian collars, and King Tut masks. The students were treated to some fresh fruit and other foods that ancient Egyptians enjoyed.

 


RIF at Scottsburg Elementary

Scottsburg Elementary Students enjoy their new RIF books! RIF is Reading is Fundamental. RIF is a program that gives books to children and encourages them to read. RIF partners with local business, Dollar General, to provide the books to children in Halifax County. Thank you RIF and Dollar General for your support of our Children!
