Fall Festival Time at Sydnor Jennings!

Everyone is invited to come out and have a wonderful time at the Sydnor Jennings Fall Festival.  There will be many activities from which to choose, including a raffle, cake walk, photo booth, fabulous food, and numerous games.  So be sure to mark your calendar for October 28, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.   See you there!

"Books are Treasures" at Sydnor Jennings

Students at Sydnor Jennings Elementary School attended a RIF distribution during library classes. "Books are Treasures" was the theme of the distribution. Students dressed as pirates on their library day and played pirate themed games. The RIF program, funded by Dollar General Corporation, provides funding for students to receive 3 books each during the school year. Students are encouraged to start their own home libraries with the RIF books provided.

Clickers in the Classroom

Students in Mrs. Smith’s 1st Grade class and Mrs. Dawson’s 4th Grade class at Sydnor Jennings Elementary School recently used the eInstruction CPS Clickers in the classroom.  This activity allowed all students to be actively engaged in a quick Formative Assessment by responding to questions with individual remotes.  Teachers also gained immediate feedback from the responses.

National Fire Prevention Week at Sydnor Jennings
