New Student Enrollment
To enroll a student, NEW to Halifax County High School, the following documents are required at the time of registration
Identification (valid driver's license or identification card with correct address)
Original Birth Certificate
Immunizations and Physical Examination signed by doctor or nurse
Proof of Residence (current electric bill, current water bill, lease agreement or mortgage documentation, US Postal Service change of address documentation)
Court Documents (If you are not the natural parent, proof of guardianship/custody)

HCHS Immunization Requirement
Effective July 1, 2021, the General Assembly passed a law that will require “two properly spaced doses of Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MenACWY). The second dose shall be administered prior to 12th grade.” There is no grace period for this vaccine. Your child will be required to receive the vaccine prior to the first day of 12th grade. Once your child has received the vaccine, please provide Mrs. Palmer in guidance with documentation. Students will not be able to begin school for the 2024-2025 school year if the school does not have the required documentation. If you have any questions regarding vaccines please feel free to contact Mrs.Thomas, school nurse at 434-575-2070 or Mrs. Palmer in the guidance department at 434-575-2017.

Scholarship Info For Seniors
Seniors will receive scholarship information periodically from the guidance department.
Counselors strongly encourage families to do their own scholarship research as well.
