The recent news regarding COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus, has understandably caused concern. Please be assured that Halifax County Public Schools is working closely with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) in monitoring the status of the virus and is following current guidance from the VDH and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Please click the link below to view the COVID POSITIVE cases reported by schools since August 30, 2021. Each positive case prompts a contact trace by the school. HCPS continually monitors caseloads and contacts of positive individuals and reports any clusters of contacts to the Virginia Department of Health.
