Beginning with the graduating class of 2017, students graduating with a Standard High School Diploma must also have earned an Industry Certification that appears on the approved list from the Virginia Department of Education. We have incorporated these certifications into the CTE classes as required. We will try very hard to make sure each student has at least one of these certifications before entering their senior year but ultimately it is the students responsibility to choose classes that meet high school graduation, including classes that offer these certifications, when they meet with their guidance counselors each registration period.
