Thanksgiving
Students in Ms. Laughorn’s Pre-K class enjoyed a fun Thanksgiving activity today! After listening to a story about a runaway turkey balloon, the class watched part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Inspired by the parade floats and balloons, students then created their very own Thanksgiving Day parade balloons, showing wonderful creativity and imagination!

Over 80 students and their families enjoyed our Title 1 Lego Math Night. The goal of this event was to make learning math fun and engaging for students and their families by using LEGO bricks as a hands-on tool. This helps to strengthen math literacy by providing a tangible way to understand and practice a wide range of math concepts that can be abstract. Students also practiced their math skills by "estimating" the number of candies in a jar. At the end of the event, Lego kits were given as door prizes. It was a fun learning experience for families.
