Important Information

Due to road conditions, Halifax County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4, 2026.  This will be a remote learning day for students.  All employees report two hours late.

To make a safe attempt at reopening schools, Halifax County Public Schools will implement emergency bus routes beginning Thursday, February 5, 2026.

The emergency bus routes have been identified in each area of the county based on current road conditionsFamilies will need to bring students to designated pick-up locations.  Please click on the link in your email or visit the Halifax County Public Schools website or Facebook page to view the routes.

At this time, Halifax County Public Schools will be on a two-hour day delay for students on Thursday, February 5, 2026 and Friday, February 6, 2026.  Employees are to report on time.  If a change is needed, another call will be made.
