We’re excited to invite you to participate in a new initiative that will help us improve communication and gather important feedback about HCPS. We are launching a new tool called Possip (short for "Positive Gossip") to better understand your experiences, concerns, and ideas.
What is Possip?
Possip is a feedback platform designed to help us listen to what matters most to you—whether it’s positive experiences, challenges, or suggestions for improvement. It’s an easy and effective way to ensure your voice is heard and helps us make informed decisions.
How Does It Work?
You will receive a quick 1–2 minute survey (also called a Pulse Check) via text or email. These Pulse Checks will give you the opportunity to:
• Share what’s going well.
• Raise any concerns or challenges.
• Offer suggestions for how we can improve.
How we're handling confidentiality
When you take the Pulse Check®, you will be offered anonymity and can answer if you want to share your name or not. If you choose not to share your name, we won't see who submitted the comment.
Why Are We Doing This?
This program is designed to explore how we can better connect with you and hear your insights. Our goal is to build a transparent and open line of communication that supports both our growth and your needs.
When Does It Start?
The first Pulse Check will be sent out on September 25, 2025. It only takes a few minutes to complete, but your input will have a lasting impact. Every response helps us improve and grow.

Today, our amazing students transformed into their favorite teachers for "Dress Like a Teacher" Day! They rocked the looks and even practiced their teaching skills! 📚✏️ So proud of their creativity and spirit!

Tip:
Too much screen time can slow problem-solving skills and creativity. Encourage at least one hour of screen-free outdoor play each day to boost brain power.
Free Idea: Create a digital scavenger hunt
Children take photos of different fall items: red leaf, pumpkin, acorn, etc.
They created beautiful, unique dot-themed artwork while practicing their English language skills — blending learning and creativity in the best way.
The students had a fantastic time, and we’re so proud of their hard work.

Families across Halifax County are invited to the 3rd Annual Career & Technical Education (CTE) Showcase at the NEW Halifax County High School on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Doors open at 5:15pm and the kickoff session begins at 5:30 PM.
