Microsoft

Microsoft employees hosted an event to introduce Career Pathways in Tech and Engineering to 5th graders at Cluster Springs Elementary School. Students were involved in hands-on STEM Labs which included CAT5 Cabling and CPX Microcontrollers. The CAT5 Cabling Lab allowed students to terminate a short length of CAT5 cable. The CPX Microcontrollers lab allowed students to use Circuit Playground Express to explore circuits. Speakers from Microsoft explained their careers and answered student questions. Kelly Lanier-Arnold, Mike Wilson, Kristin Vaughan, and Teresa Downey of Microsoft organized the event and coordinated with Susan Elliott, ITRT, to finalize plans. Thanks to Microsoft and its employees/volunteers that made this event possible: Caleb Greene, Mike Wilson, Mikki Icenhour, Bradley Woicikowfski, Tad Lewis, Allen Crutchfield, Chad Downey, Matt Walker, Robbie Whitlow, Michael Killingsworth, Shannell Toone, and Jerry Shelton.
