As a reminder, students will be dismissed early on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Students from South Boston Early Learning Center and South Boston Elementary School will dismiss at 11:00 AM. All other students will dismiss at 11:30 AM. Winter break for students will be December 22, 2023 - December 29, 2023. The New Year's holiday is January 1, 2024. January 2, 2024 and January 3, 2024 are professional development/teacher workdays. Students return to school on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Mrs. Grubbs's 1st graders at Cluster Springs Elementary participated in the Gumdrop Christmas Tree Challenge. The purchase of STEM materials was funded through a Mini-Grant from the Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation. The Mini-Grant was awarded to Mrs. Susan Elliott, Elementary ITRT, for the project titled: Christmas STEM.
