🌸 Spring Clean Your Screens & Check-In Online 🌸
Spring is the perfect time to tidy up your child’s digital world! Just like cleaning a room keeps it healthy and fun, checking in on their online spaces keeps them safe and balanced.
✨ Tech Tip:
Take a few minutes each week to review your child’s apps, websites, and online conversations. Ask who they interact with and which apps they enjoy most. These quick check-ins help you spot issues early and encourage open, positive talk about responsible tech use.
🧹 Family Challenge:
Pick one day this month to “spring clean” together—delete unused apps, update passwords, and refresh privacy settings.
💻 Remember:
A little digital cleaning now helps your child’s online world stay safe, organized, and positive all year long! 🌼

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, fifth-grade students from each of our elementary schools and members of the Halifax County Middle School chorus joined together to present the Halifax County Public Schools Music Showcase at the high school. Our talented students performed several selections to show how we are “United Through Music” for Music in Our Schools Month. This was possible due to the collaboration of our elementary, middle, and high school music teachers.

🍀 🌈Finding Digital Gold – Smart Internet Searching🌈🍀
Not everything online is as good as gold — especially on social media! This month, focus on helping your child become a smart digital detective. Teach them to pause, think, and check before they believe or share something they see online.
✨ Tech Tip:
Encourage your child to double-check information by looking at more than one source. Talk about how likes and shares don’t always mean something is true.
For younger learners, guide them to kid-safe websites where they can explore and learn with confidence.
🌐 Helpful Websites:
PBS Kids – www.pbskids.org
National Geographic Kids – www.kids.nationalgeographic.com
Both offer fun, safe, and educational resources and videos for curious minds!
💚 Remember:
When kids learn to question, compare, and verify what they see online, they strike digital gold — building lifelong skills for safe and smart internet use!
