🎉 Prom Parade Information – Saturday, April 26, 2025 Parade Entrance Location: Heritage House Please review the Prom Parade entrance map see attached image and follow the instructions below to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow: 🚗 Line-Up Instructions: All parade traffic must line up in the Heritage House parking lot. ➡️ Entry Requirements: Vehicles must turn right off of Old Halifax Road to enter the parking lot. Enter from the east, using the entrance closest to North Main Street. ⛔ No Left Turns Allowed: Left turns into the Heritage House from Old Halifax Road will not be permitted. Please do not attempt to enter from the left turn lane, as this will disrupt traffic and safety protocols. 🚓 Law Enforcement: Follow all directions provided by Law Enforcement once in the parking lot for line-up and parade coordination. We appreciate your cooperation in following this plan to help make the Prom Parade a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!

🚗 Prom Parking Information – Saturday, April 26, 2025 Please review the Prom Parking Map attached image and follow these important directions to help keep traffic flowing safely and efficiently: 📍 Faculty Parking Lot (Spectator Parking): This lot will be used for spectator parking. All visitors using this lot must enter through the circle driveway located in front of the school. Entry must occur PRIOR to 7:00 PM. 📍 HCHS Bus Parking Lot (Spectator Parking): Additional spectator parking is available in the bus parking lot behind the school. Entry for this lot is through the Middle School campus. 📍 Student Parking (HCHS Students Only): Students attending prom should park in the designated HCHS Student Parking Lot. 🅿️ Overflow Parking: More parking is available on the Middle School campus as needed. Here’s what you need to know: ❌ No Painted Spaces: Students (seniors & underclassmen) will not be allowed to paint their parking spaces for the remainder of the school year. 🎓 Senior Parking: Seniors may park anywhere in general student parking, but only seniors can choose spaces #6-65 and #261-340. 📅 Monday, April 14th – Parking Passes Required! ✅ Seniors choosing a designated senior space must bring in their parking pass after parking. ✅ Passes must be presented to Mrs. Forlines to have the new space number officially recorded. 🚨 No pass = No space change! 🚫 Underclassmen: Please do not park in any senior-designated spaces (#6-65 & #261-340). The Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium (SVRTC) held an awards luncheon at Longwood University on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Three educators from Halifax County Public Schools won awards. Kelly Weatherford from HCHS won the Instructional Support Award. Wanda Overby from Scottsburg Elementary won the Technical Support Award. Virginia Crutchfield from South Boston Elementary won the Technology Teacher Award. Congratulations to all of the awardees!

Due to the conditions of secondary roads, HCPS will be closed on Friday, February 21, 2025. This is a remote learning day for students and a work from home day for ten-month employees. Twelve-month employees are to follow code 2, report two hours late.
