📆 Daily Schedule:

1st Block: 8:19–9:55

2nd Block: 10:00–11:35

3rd Block (includes lunches): 11:40–1:45

4th Block: 1:50–3:25

⏱⌚There are 5 minutes between each block, and the start time listed is when the tardy bell will ring.

Wednesday, August 13, 2025 is the first day of school for all PreK, elementary, and HCMS students. HCHS students will return on Monday, August 18, 2025.

Attention Seniors – Parking Space Painting Privilege!
Seniors, it’s time to make your parking spot your own! As part of your senior privileges, you may paint your parking space following these guidelines:

🖌️🚫Do NOT paint the curbs

🎨Keep paint at least📏 4 inches away from the white parking lines and the parking space number

👉Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis

Parking passes will be available for purchase during Open House on August 14 from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
You must have a valid parking pass before you can paint your spot!

We are excited to welcome you to our brand-new school building! On Thursday, August 14, 2025, we will be hosting special events just for our high school students and their families.
9th Grade Orientation – 11:30 AM
This session is exclusively for ninth grade students and their parents/guardians.

High School Open House – 12:30 PM
This is for all high school students (grades 9–12) and their families.

Please note: These events are only for high school students and families. There will be a sign-in sheet for all attendees at the front entrance. We will host a separate open house for the rest of the community at a later date.
We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the start of a great school year together in our new home!

As we prepare to open our new school building, we want to ensure everyone is aware of the new
traffic patterns in place for safety and efficiency.

☑️ Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
Parents will enter using the same entrance across from the Heritage House. The green arrows on the provided map show the traffic flow around the front of the new school.

☑️ Student & Faculty Entrance:
Only students and faculty will enter at the traffic lights across from Wendy’s, following the blue arrows on the map.

☑️ School Bus Entrance:
Only school bus traffic will use the Tabernacle Road entrance across from Bojangles.

HCHS will open Monday, August 18, 2025.

Halifax County Public Schools has Campus Portal so that parents can be active participants in their child’s academic progress. The Campus Portal is a communication tool that provides you with secure access to your child’s school information. It gives you access to your child’s attendance, schedule, grades, assignments, student to-do list, and behavior.

Attention: HCHS Parents/Student Drivers


Effective July 1, 2022, the VDOE requires any high school student who applies to park a vehicle on school property to provide evidence that the student possesses a valid driver's license. Below you will find a memo and an application that you will need to print off for students planning on driving to school. Parking passes will not go on sale until open house on August 14, 2025 from 12:30-6:30. This application must be completed in advance and returned when you purchase your parking pass. There are sections where parents and students will have to complete. Students will also have to show that they have a valid driver's license and the cost is $30. If you don't have a form completed at the time of purchase then you will have to take a form, fill it out, and bring it back before we can issue one. We thank you in advance.

New SUN Bucks cards are on the way for automatically enrolled households! Please note that your benefits will not become available on SUN Bucks or SNAP EBT cards until July 18, even if you receive a SUN Bucks card in the mail before that date. Benefits will continue to be issued on a rolling basis, so households can expect to receive their SUN Bucks cards at different times.
