Students in Mrs. Coleman’s 7th grade Science class enjoyed investigating balance and unbalanced forces. As a follow-up activity, the students did an EGG DROP lab.

Mr. Layne's art students completed a cardboard low-relief sculpture project. The initial prompt to inspire the students' creativity was to depict an animal in an environment; some students took the idea further and showed people in an environment, or even made a baseball hat or football jersey from the cardboard. The results were fantastic!

Thank you HCPS Educational Foundation!
Mr. Layne’s 7th and 8th grade students recently completed a unit based upon the artist Robert Indiana and his famous “LOVE” design. Students chose a word and presented it as an abstracted design or illustration inspired by Indiana’s work. Markers and paper for the project were purchased using a teacher mini-grant awarded by the Halifax County Public Schools Educational Foundation.
