Dear Scottsburg Families: As the principal of Scottsburg Elementary, I could not be prouder of our students. Through Coins for a Cause, led by our Student Council Association (SCA), each homeroom was challenged to collect loose change to help purchase necessities and holiday gifts for members of our school community in need. Our students exceeded our goal and demonstrated incredible generosity, compassion, kindness, and a true spirit of giving. With the support of families at home, we raised over $400 to support this meaningful cause. Thank you for helping us teach our students the importance of empathy, service, and giving back. Your support truly makes a difference!
Thank you,
Mr. Nathan Lantor,
Principal

The Scottsburg Elementary SCA and Mr. Nathan Lantor, principal, would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the outpouring of donations contributed during our Scottsburg Elementary Christmas Project. Over the past several weeks, students, parents, staff, and the community generously gifted personal care items, socks, large print crossword puzzle books, ink pens, tissues, snacks, and candy. It was amazing to see how our Scotties and the entire community came together to support this meaningful project. On December 11, the Scottsburg Elementary SCA members delivered the donated items along with handmade cards created by Scottsburg Elementary students to the residents at South Boston Health and Rehab Center. It was a heartwarming experience to spread a little joy to the residents during this special season.
