On Thursday, March 26, 2026, fifth-grade students from each of our elementary schools and members of the Halifax County Middle School chorus joined together to present the Halifax County Public Schools Music Showcase at the high school. Our talented students performed several selections to show how we are “United Through Music” for Music in Our Schools Month. This was possible due to the collaboration of our elementary, middle, and high school music teachers.

Kindergarten scholars in Mrs. Benson's class are learning how to represent tens and ones with place value blocks

Bus 24 students will be on a substitute bus today. They will arrive home on bus 11.
From tiny seeds to growing dreams! 🌱 Our Pre-K scholars in Mrs. Moser's class had so much fun planting their seeds and learning how things grow. With a little care, patience, and sunshine, we’re already seeing the first sprouts—how exciting! 🌼💚
Feeling lucky and looking sharp! 🍀 Our scholars showed their St. Patrick’s Day spirit by wearing green and spreading smiles all around. A day full of fun, positivity, and a little extra luck! 💚✨
Scholars in Mrs. Benson's class were first given a gummy worm to measure the length with paper clips. Then they got a living worm to measure.

As an introduction to our new science lesson, groups of Kindergarten scholars in Mrs. Cash's class were given various pictures. The group had to problem solve how the pictures would go together and why. Great conversations were heard as they discussed and justified reasons for groupings that were made.

Kindergarten scholars in Mrs. Cash's class culminated their study of living and non-living things by comparing gummy worms and earthworms. Scholars had to observe, measure, and touch both worms and document their data.
