
During the month of December the students at Cluster Springs Elementary School focused on the character trait of empathy. Students learned that empathy is understanding and connecting to other people’s feelings. A special thank you to Domino’s Pizza for providing our students with a gift for receiving Student of the Month. Students Mrs. Hunt's 4th grade class at Cluster Springs Elementary School participated in the Jingle Bell Maze STEM challenge. The purchase of STEM materials was funded through a Mini-Grant from the Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation. The Mini-Grant was awarded to Mrs. Susan Elliott, Elementary ITRT, for the project titled: Christmas STEM.


Mrs. Smith's 1st graders at Cluster Springs Elementary participated in the Shelf for the Elf Challenge. The purchase of STEM materials was funded through a Mini-Grant from the Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation. The Mini-Grant was awarded to Mrs. Susan Elliott, Elementary ITRT, for the project titled: Christmas STEM.


Mrs. Stolzenthaler's kindergarten students at Cluster Springs worked with Mrs. Elliott, ITRT. The students used Bee-Bot to code the sequence of events in the story, The Gingerbread Man.


As a reminder, students will be dismissed early on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Students from South Boston Early Learning Center and South Boston Elementary School will dismiss at 11:00 AM. All other students will dismiss at 11:30 AM. Winter break for students will be December 22, 2023 - December 29, 2023. The New Year's holiday is January 1, 2024. January 2, 2024 and January 3, 2024 are professional development/teacher workdays. Students return to school on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
