Gingerbread Escape Mrs. Smith's 1st graders at Cluster Springs Elementary school participated in the Gingerbread Escape STEM Challenge. After listening to, The Gingerbread Man, students constructed zip lines to help the Gingerbread Man escape. During the month of September the students at Cluster Springs Elementary School focused on the character strong trait of respect. The students learned that respect is seeing the value in all people and things and treating them with care. A special thank you to Domino’s Pizza for providing our students with a gift for receiving Student of the Month. Virginia Farm to School Week will occur October 2-6, 2023. The Crunch Heard ‘Round the Commonwealth increases awareness of Virginia farm to school programs. To celebrate the event, our schools in Halifax County as well as many others across Virginia will simultaneously take a bite out of a Virginia grown apple. Together, we will make some noise for farm to school programs! The “Crunch” is held during Virginia Farm to School Week each year. The Crunch will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
