Demolition of the old high school building has officially begun, and the area is now an active construction zone.
For everyone’s safety, we ask that no one go beyond the fenced perimeter surrounding the building. These boundaries are in place to protect our students, staff, and visitors, and it is very important that they are respected at all times.
Students with parking passes may continue to use the old faculty lot; however, access behind the fence is strictly prohibited.
If you are heading to the tennis courts, please enter through the old faculty lot. The previous access point behind the building is now closed due to demolition.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support as we work through this process. Safety remains our top priority, and we are grateful for your help in keeping our campus safe for all.

Because of your support, Halifax County High School students will have even more opportunities to pursue their dreams and continue a legacy built on excellence, compassion, and commitment. This gift is more than a donation, it is an investment in futures, potential, and the lasting impact of education.
We are so proud to partner with organizations like CEP Solar that believe in uplifting our students and strengthening our community. Your generosity truly makes a difference, and we are deeply appreciative.
Thank you for helping us carry forward the legacy of Dr. Bessie Carr in such a meaningful way! 💙✨

As a reminder, tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, 2026 is a full instructional day. Students attend school all day.
