The Society of Women Engineers at University of Virginia is inviting high school students to apply for Engineering Futures Day on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Charlottesville.
This exciting, free event gives students a hands on look at engineering and UVA’s engineering program through the perspective of female engineers. Participants will hear from inspiring speakers, take part in an interactive design activity, tour NSF funded lab facilities, and explore what a future in STEM could look like.
The program is open to students with all levels of engineering experience, but it is especially designed for those who may be curious about engineering and are considering applying to engineering schools or pursuing a STEM career.
The event will be held in person at UVA on March 29, 2026. The application deadline is February 25, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
Students can find the application and full details here:
https://www.virginiaswe.org/efd
Thanks to generous donors and volunteers, this opportunity is completely free for participants.
If you have questions, you can reach out directly to the organizers at uvasweefd@gmail.com.
If you have a student who is even a little curious about engineering, this would be an incredible experience.
