Today, October 10, 2023 is World Mental Health Day. This is a day to talk about mental health and show everyone that mental health matters. It’s also a day to let people know that it’s okay to ask for help, no matter what you’re going through. If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org. You can also reach Crisis Text Line by texting MHA to 741741.

Students in Mrs. Virginia Henderson's Statistics class worked in groups of 3 and did several activities to make their decision of how many rubber bands to use for the "bungee" to get as close to the ground as possible without cracking open a head.
First they ran test jumps using 0-7 bands and recorded the distances. They used that data to find a least squares regression line and its equation to use to make their prediction of how many bands they would need. They tried three types, a linear model, a quadratic model, and an exponential model. They decided, using various strategies, scatterplots, residual plots, and correlation values, which model they would use for the final jump.
