Halifax County High School is offering Summer School 2025 for students who did not pass a class or an SOL this school year (Fall 2024 or Spring 2025). Courses are available for credit recovery and SOL prep, depending on student needs.
π Dates to know:
May 27 β Teacher Workday
May 28β30 (WedβFri) β Week 1
June 2β6 (MonβFri) β Week 2
June 9β12 (MonβThurs) β Week 3
π Classes held at the middle school from 8:15 AM to 2:00 PM
π½ Breakfast and lunch provided at no cost.
π Important:
Students must attend every day to receive credit.
No more than 10 hours of total missed time allowed.
Application deadline: May 22, 2025 (Return to Mrs. Chandlerβs office)

Graduation Rehearsal will be held on Friday, May 23rd, in the HCHS Auditorium.
Seniors should report to the auditorium by 8:15 a.m. on both days.

Parade Entrance Location: Heritage House
Please review the Prom Parade entrance map see attached image and follow the instructions below to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow:
π Line-Up Instructions:
All parade traffic must line up in the Heritage House parking lot.
β‘οΈ Entry Requirements:
Vehicles must turn right off of Old Halifax Road to enter the parking lot.
Enter from the east, using the entrance closest to North Main Street.
β No Left Turns Allowed:
Left turns into the Heritage House from Old Halifax Road will not be permitted.
Please do not attempt to enter from the left turn lane, as this will disrupt traffic and safety protocols.
π Law Enforcement:
Follow all directions provided by Law Enforcement once in the parking lot for line-up and parade coordination.
We appreciate your cooperation in following this plan to help make the Prom Parade a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!

π Faculty Parking Lot (Spectator Parking):
This lot will be used for spectator parking.
All visitors using this lot must enter through the circle driveway located in front of the school.
Entry must occur PRIOR to 7:00 PM.
π HCHS Bus Parking Lot (Spectator Parking):
Additional spectator parking is available in the bus parking lot behind the school.
Entry for this lot is through the Middle School campus.
π Student Parking (HCHS Students Only):
Students attending prom should park in the designated HCHS Student Parking Lot.

ΏοΈ Overflow Parking:
More parking is available on the Middle School campus as needed.

π Prom Parade participants must line up at Heritage House β no left turns into the lot will be permitted.
π« No unregistered vehicles, large trucks, boats, or trailers will be allowed in the procession.
