🌸 Spring Clean Your Screens & Check-In Online 🌸
Spring is the perfect time to tidy up your child’s digital world! Just like cleaning a room keeps it healthy and fun, checking in on their online spaces keeps them safe and balanced.
✨ Tech Tip:
Take a few minutes each week to review your child’s apps, websites, and online conversations. Ask who they interact with and which apps they enjoy most. These quick check-ins help you spot issues early and encourage open, positive talk about responsible tech use.
🧹 Family Challenge:
Pick one day this month to “spring clean” together—delete unused apps, update passwords, and refresh privacy settings.
💻 Remember:
A little digital cleaning now helps your child’s online world stay safe, organized, and positive all year long! 🌼

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, fifth-grade students from each of our elementary schools and members of the Halifax County Middle School chorus joined together to present the Halifax County Public Schools Music Showcase at the high school. Our talented students performed several selections to show how we are “United Through Music” for Music in Our Schools Month. This was possible due to the collaboration of our elementary, middle, and high school music teachers.

💫Mrs. Martin’s PreK students LOVE learning centers!! This week they are playing a new game, Don’t Rock the Croc 🐊, working on sorting, using PlayDoh to create letters of the alphabet, and putting together various puzzles 🧩.

Mrs. Hupp’s class enjoyed using stem cubes to make different heart words and CVC words during center time. These were purchased with mini grant funds from the Halifax County Schools Education Foundation.

Meadville Elementary will host a Panther Picnic on April 3, 2026. During this time, students will rotate through fun math stations set up outside. Students will solve or respond to questions and then compete in fun challenges set up by the PE department. Every student will receive a free book to take home to add to their personal library and a math kit to create more math memories in the future. Parents may come at 12:30 to join in on the fun! All visitors must have an approved visitor form on file.
Dear Families,
Get ready—the Scholastic Discovery Fair is coming to our school! This STEAM-powered Book Fair is a great opportunity to get your child excited about science, technology, art, nature, and more with new books and kits they’ll dive into again and again. Just with our regular Fall Book Fair, the easiest way to shop the Fair is by creating a Book Fair eWallet. It’s easy to set up and easy for others to add funds. You can scan the QR code on the flyer that was sent home to do that. If you do not want to create an e-wallet, you can still shop with cash, check, or a credit/debit card.
Here’s everything else you need to know about the Discovery Fair:
Date: April 3rd during our Panther Picnic
Location: Library
More than ever, we need to get students reading and engaging in STEAM. Studies prove that children with more books at home have higher-level reading skills and attain more years of education overall.
Have fun discovering!

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Moore's class have been learning about measurement. We used various "tools" to measure objects around our classroom.

💦🏊♀️ Meadville PreK students enjoyed their first swimming day at the YMCA. They are looking forward to their next visit!

February student of the month at Meadville Elementary School were: Belen Jaklin, Aveah Hayes, Kairee Coleman, Miriam Glass, Konner Fuller, Harmony Faulkner, Olivia Conner, Arthur Hicks, Lincoln Johnson, Ezra Shaughnessy, Tawfeeq Abdullah, Khalil Williams, and Zamir Yuille

Students at Meadville enjoyed a Panther Fun Run during PE class for those who signed up with the fundraiser. The Run included obstacles for the students to enjoy as they ran. Laps were counted by using the Ipad and application that was purchased from last year's Fun Run. Students raised money per lap or with a flat donation. Even Mrs. Franco and several parents got in on the fun! Money raised will go toward equipment for Field Day and PE. A huge thanks to those who chose to participate!

Mrs. Hupp’s kindergarten class had so much fun graphing with Lucky Charms cereal to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day🍀. After completing their math activity, they enjoyed having the cereal for snack.

☘️ Mrs. Martin and Mrs. McGhee’s PreK class had the best time with this fun, hands-on St. Patrick’s Day activity! They used their fine motor skills and placed fruit loops on a pipe cleaner. Each student created a repeating pattern of their own. At the end of their pipe cleaner they placed two big marshmallows and had a beautiful rainbow. 🌈

Report cards for the third nine weeks are available for viewing on the Campus Portal. If you need assistance with the portal or need a paper copy of the report, please contact your child’s school.
