🎃October Tech-Tip🎃
Digital Citizenship – 👻Be a Tech Hero, Not a Tech Monster!👻
Tip:
Remind your child that being kind online matters. Just like they’d never yell ‘boo!’ in someone’s face to hurt them, they shouldn’t post mean or hurtful things online. Encourage them to be a Tech Hero by using their words to help and encourage others.

Mrs. Hupp’s class enjoyed tasting different types of apples 🍎 The students made a graph of their choices and Granny Smith was the winner! They also enjoyed making hats to celebrate Johnny Appleseed’s birthday!

🌟🍎 Students in Mrs. Martin's PreK class are learning all about the InvestiGators and this week they became familiar with Chuck Wood. 🪵 They discussed how his home was a den, underground, and how we live in houses, above ground. Students used various types of building toys to build their own house. Lots of creativity and imagination is happening in this classroom! 🏠🔨

PreK centers are SO much fun! Students in Mrs. Martin and Mrs. McGhee’s PreK class are going hands-on 🖐🏻 this week during center time . They’re exploring kinetic sand and pluffle to find different sized/colored jewels, practicing tracing various kinds of lines using markers, and using BINGO daubers to create certain shapes. ⭐️🔼💎

This week in Mrs. Hupp’s class center time included ‘Write the Room,’ where students had to find pictures and write the words to match. Students also made letters with unifix cubes, where they had to write the matching letters.
🌟⭐️💫 Lots of fun is happening in Mrs. Martin and Mrs. McGhee’s PreK class!! This week they learned the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty. They colored a picture of Humpty and then glued him back together. This sweet group is also enjoying their weekly play centers and doing great with sharing with one another. 🥚🖍️🤗

Parents/Guardians,
We’re excited to invite you to participate in a new initiative that will help us improve communication and gather important feedback about HCPS. We are launching a new tool called Possip (short for "Positive Gossip") to better understand your experiences, concerns, and ideas.
What is Possip?
Possip is a feedback platform designed to help us listen to what matters most to you—whether it’s positive experiences, challenges, or suggestions for improvement. It’s an easy and effective way to ensure your voice is heard and helps us make informed decisions.
How Does It Work?
You will receive a quick 1–2 minute survey (also called a Pulse Check) via text or email. These Pulse Checks will give you the opportunity to:
• Share what’s going well.
• Raise any concerns or challenges.
• Offer suggestions for how we can improve.
How we're handling confidentiality
When you take the Pulse Check®, you will be offered anonymity and can answer if you want to share your name or not. If you choose not to share your name, we won't see who submitted the comment.
Why Are We Doing This?
This program is designed to explore how we can better connect with you and hear your insights. Our goal is to build a transparent and open line of communication that supports both our growth and your needs.
When Does It Start?
The first Pulse Check will be sent out on September 25, 2025. It only takes a few minutes to complete, but your input will have a lasting impact. Every response helps us improve and grow.
We value your time and feedback, and we look forward to hearing from you through Possip. Thank you for helping us make this initiative a success!
