Several Meadville students wore their orange today to support MS day!

Meadville Elementary is honored to celebrate Mrs. Ashley Jones as our 2025-2026 Excellence in Service nomination. Ashley meets each day with a smile and a helping hand. Her work ethic is admirable and we are blessed she calls Meadville home!
Meadville Elementary students enjoyed dressing up as their favorite book character today to celebrate Read Across America Week!

Students in Mrs. Fallen's 5th grade classes at Meadville Elementary used their engineering skills and knowledge of circuits to design a Bristle Bot. In this activity, students attached a vibrating motor to a brush and wired the motor to the battery in order to activate the Bristle Bot. The purchase of STEM materials was funded through a Mini-Grant from the Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation. The Mini-Grant was awarded to Mrs. Susan Elliott, Elementary ITRT, for the project titled: Getting Bristley.

🍀 🌈Finding Digital Gold – Smart Internet Searching🌈🍀
Not everything online is as good as gold — especially on social media! This month, focus on helping your child become a smart digital detective. Teach them to pause, think, and check before they believe or share something they see online.
✨ Tech Tip:
Encourage your child to double-check information by looking at more than one source. Talk about how likes and shares don’t always mean something is true.
For younger learners, guide them to kid-safe websites where they can explore and learn with confidence.
🌐 Helpful Websites:
PBS Kids – www.pbskids.org
National Geographic Kids – www.kids.nationalgeographic.com
Both offer fun, safe, and educational resources and videos for curious minds!
💚 Remember:
When kids learn to question, compare, and verify what they see online, they strike digital gold — building lifelong skills for safe and smart internet use!

PreK Screening - 3 Year Old Program

PreK Screening - 4 Year Old Program

March is here, and with it comes a fun opportunity to boost attendance and celebrate our students’ commitment to being present and engaged at school!
We’re launching a March Madness Attendance Challenge to encourage consistent, on-time attendance throughout the month. When students come to school every day, they build strong routines, stay connected to learning, and feel part of our school community. We want to recognize and reward that effort in a way that feels exciting and motivating.
How it works:
Each day a student is present and on time, their grade will be closer to staying on the bracket.
Weekly “matchups” will be posted so students can track their progress.
Grades with the highest attendance each week will earn their spot to remain in the bracket.
At the end of March, the grade with the strongest overall attendance will receive a special school-wide shoutout and prize.
We know life happens—illness and emergencies are real. This incentive is simply about encouraging healthy habits and celebrating the many days our students show up ready to learn. Your support makes a huge difference, and we appreciate everything you do to help your child arrive on time and ready for the day.
Thank you for partnering with us to make March a month of strong attendance, positive energy, and school pride. Let’s make every day count!

Mrs. Martin's PreK students had a bright and colorful time exploring the letter Ee! ✏️✨
They wrote the letters using markers, then an Ozobot traced their letters. The best part? The Ozobots lit up to match the marker colors because they can sense and respond to color! 🌈🤖
Such a fun way to combine early literacy and coding skills!
Mrs. Elliott, ITRT, guided students through this engaging hands-on activity. 💙
