Fifth grade students at Sydnor Jennings Elementary were "getting bristley". They used a toothbrush, vibrating motor, and battery to create a closed circuit that allowed their bristle bots to move. This was a fun and exciting way to review electrical circuits. This learning opportunity was made possible by the Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation Teacher Mini-Grant. Thank you for supporting our students.

It is always a pleasure to have one of our Central Office staff come and interreact with the students. Mr. Davis demonstrates to a students how to pluck a field goal with his finger during 2nd grade STEM class. Thank you Mr. Davis!

This week in Mr. Barksdale's STEM class, students worked in groups to design a football goal post that could stand up on it's own. They then used a piece of paper to create a paper football to see if they could score field goals.

4th grade students at Sydnor Jennings participated in an ozobot lesson. In this lesson students learned about the difference in rotation and revolution in the solar system. They programmed ozobots to both rotate and revolve. They used this activity as a fun way to review science concepts they are learning in the classroom.
