Ugly Christmas Sweaters at SJES

Miss Oliver's and Mrs. Cash's kindergarten classes reviewed weather this week. Each day they did hands-on activities creating weather in the classroom. After learning about tornadoes and tornado safety, the students had the chance to make a tornado in a jar using water, hand sanitizer, and glitter. Shaking the jar in a circular motion created a "tornado", and students were able to see how objects on the ground could get sucked up into the funnel cloud.
