4th grade students at Sydnor Jennings participated in an ozobot lesson. In this lesson students learned about the difference in rotation and revolution in the solar system. They programmed ozobots to both rotate and revolve. They used this activity as a fun way to review science concepts they are learning in the classroom.

As a reminder, students will be dismissed early on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Students from South Boston Early Learning Center and South Boston Elementary School will dismiss at 11:00 AM. All other students will dismiss at 11:30 AM. Winter break for students will be December 22, 2023 - December 29, 2023. The New Year's holiday is January 1, 2024. Ms. Dishmond's fifth grade students explored reflection with a mirror and flashlight challenge. They had to make light reflect three different ways and hit a target using trial and error and report on their findings.
