Kindergarten scholars in the 21st Century After school program used Valentine candy hearts to practice their decomposing or subtraction skills. Each scholar had to model the story problem given by the teacher or a friend with hearts to find the answer.

They discovered how changing the position of the light or the object can make shadows bigger, smaller, or even change shape. Hands-on learning + bright minds = a glowing science lesson! 🌟
