Victoria Worley Wins 2026 National Adviser Mentor Award

Halifax, Virginia — Victoria Worley, a dedicated Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Adviser at Halifax County High School in Virginia, has been selected as a recipient of the 2025-2026 FCCLA Adviser Mentor Award. This national recognition honors Chef Worley’s outstanding commitment to supporting and mentoring new advisers within the FCCLA community.

The Adviser Mentor Award is given to advisers who have earned Master Adviser Recognition and demonstrated at least two years of service assisting new advisers. It also honors those who have taken on adult leadership roles in FCCLA, led adviser workshops, participated in national and state trainings, and utilized key FCCLA resources. Chef Worley’s unwavering support and leadership within the organization truly reflect the spirit of mentorship that drives FCCLA forward. “We are proud to recognize the unwavering dedication and passion of our Adviser Mentor Award recipients,” said Sandy Spavone, CEO of FCCLA. “These advisers embody the leadership, mentorship, and commitment that fuel FCCLA’s mission and inspire the next generation of educators and community leaders.”

Chef Worley invests a tremendous amount of time and talent into FCCLA at Halifax County High School. Year after year, she works to prepare students to represent themselves and Halifax County High School at the state and national level. Because of her efforts, students in Halifax County have the opportunity to travel, compete, earn scholarships, and make memories that last a lifetime. This particular award recognizes her strengths in advising new mentors, which is evidenced by her mentorship of her co-adviser, Mrs. Katie Crews Martin at Halifax County High School. Together, they are investing in the success of our students through FCCLA. Victoria Worley will be honored and presented with the Adviser Mentor Award at the Adviser Recognition & Fashion Show General Session during the 2026 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, DC this summer. The recognition will take place before thousands of FCCLA Members, Advisers, and supporters from across the country, celebrating Chef Worley’s profound impact on the FCCLA community.

Important Update: Class of 2027 Senior Portrait Information 🎓

Rising seniors and families, we want to share important information regarding senior portraits for the upcoming school year so families can plan ahead for scheduling.

For the Class of 2027, senior portraits will be provided through CADY Studios. This year, all portrait selections will be completed during one session, including:
• Formal Drape/Tux photos
• Cap & Gown photos
• Casual photos

Please note that, unlike previous years, there will not be a separate cap and gown session offered in the spring. All required senior portraits for the yearbook and graduation materials will need to be completed during the scheduled session.

Booking for sessions will open on June 1, 2026.

On-campus sessions at Halifax County High School are currently scheduled for:
• July 21, 2026
• August 25, 2026

CADY will have three photographers on-site for each date, with 20 appointment time slots available each day.

Students may also choose to schedule a session directly at the CADY studio location:
📍 5950-A Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609

If the on-campus dates fill quickly, the school may request an additional date from the studio. However, any additional scheduling would be determined solely by CADY Studios based on their availability.

Session fees through CADY begin at $29.99. We understand this is a change from previous years when a free option was available. Pricing, scheduling, and session availability are determined by the photography studio.

Additional scheduling details and booking information will be shared as they become available. Families are encouraged to book early once scheduling opens on June 1st.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we transition to a new portrait provider for senior photos.
