In a fun and engaging science experiment, first graders at Sinai Elementary took a deep dive into the world of sound. The students enjoyed making different sounds by tapping on their desks, discovering how sound can be created in various ways.
Through this hands-on activity, students learned about the properties of sound and how vibrations travel through different materials. Their enthusiasm for exploring sound was evident as they experimented with different surfaces and objects, creating a symphony of noises in the classroom.

As a reminder, all schools and offices will be closed Monday, November 11, 2024 in observance of Veterans Day.

To celebrate Election Day, students and staff at Sinai Elementary wore their red, white and blue!

Sinai Elementary students and staff participated in Favorite Team Day! Students and staff wore their favorite team shirts!

Lego Learners in Mrs. Bowe's second grade class enjoyed an exciting challenge by utilizing Lego Challenge cards. Collaborating in small groups, the students engaged their creativity and problem-solving skills to construct a wide array of imaginative structures using only Legos.
Among their unique creations were a vibrant water park, buzzing colorful bumble bees, a complex maze filled with twists and turns, and a dramatic lava pit . Each design showcased not only their engineering skills but also their ability to work together, communicate ideas, and think outside the box.

Sinai's 5th grade Lego Learners combined their knowledge of Legos and motion. They worked together to create mazes using Lego bricks. The mazes included an entrance, exit, and a travelable path for a marble.

Students in Ms. Terry's PK3 class recently learned about the Letter Pp and it's sound. Students made pigs and enjoyed having help from Mr. Russell, principal.

Students and Staff Members at Sinai Elementary shared kindness, promoted acceptance, and encouraged inclusion to prevent bullying by wearing orange on Unity Day.

5th Grade Sinai Scientists Engage in Motion Exploration with Lego Kits! In collaborative groups, they not only designed and built various Lego structures but also focused on creating models that vividly demonstrated the principles of kinetic energy. This engaging activity encouraged teamwork and problem-solving skills, as students experimented with different designs to see how they could maximize movement and energy transfer within their creations. Through this interactive approach, students gained a deeper understanding of scientific concepts while fostering their creativity and critical thinking abilities.

Cake Walk! We need donations of cakes and pies for the Sinai Fall Festival on November 1st at the school. Please see flyer below.

Sinai Scientists in Mrs. Rutherford's class went on a nature hunt and picked up leaves. They let the leaves dry for a week. Next, the students used a tree template, glue, paint brushes and leaves to decorate their fall tree. The students enjoyed crushing the leaves for their tree.
